AUDIO: Interview with Scott Georgeson

Printer-Friendly Format

In this interview I speak with Scott Georgeson. I refer to Scott as the man behind the scenes. This is because when you purchase the CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4 and go through the tutorials, you'll hear Scott's voice as he takes you on a tour of the interface and other aspects of the applications.

In our conversation, Scott talks about the workflow he uses when encountering different jobs. In this case, he uses an example from real-life that he worked with just before our call. You'll learn how Scott approaches a job, the questions he asks of a client and how he explores what will be the right direction for the job.

Scott also gives recommendations for which programs to use (primarily Corel products in his case) and other applications. We talk about masking techniques, the importance of using a graphics tablet (Wacom), why one would use PHOTO-PAINT instead of Photoshop, recommended file types, how to get great scans, calibrating your monitor to your printer and much more.

If you have a membership, you can download the printed transcript of this interview, at the Downloads Resources section. If you don't have a membership you'll need to purchase one before you can download the transcript. For more audio interviews, visit the Audio Programs section on DigitalArtistU.com
